Honest, timely, great communication, neat. Getting ready to drive my family back to Florida after Irma, I knew my vehicle needed a check up. They were honest with me about recommendations and their level of urgency - what i should replace now and what could wait. I got it all done at once because i trust them. Very pleased with the work.

The work (replacing an engine damaged by the flood) was completed on time and at the price quoted. They have always done a great job taking care of our vehicles.

I used to love coming here to get my cars serviced, but in the past few months that I've been trying to get an appointment I have been unsuccessful, and have had to take my vehicles elsewhere. Appointments can't be set at 4:00 which is pretty early given that I call days in advance. If I was to get my vehicles serviced here I would have to take the day off, which is not feasible for everyday working people. I called again and was rejected an appointment at 4:00 for any day of the week. I will have to take my vehicles to be serviced elsewhere.

We are sorry we are not able to accommodate your schedule. We try to make it as convenient as possible for customers with a shuttle service running within 5 miles, drop offs, etc. Given our hours and staffing, we do not take appointments after 4 pm for much other than drop offs. We hope you are able to find a place to meet your needs.

Excellent service. Jason was a great help. I used the wrecker company who they are contracted with to get my car towed from Rice University to Paynes automotive. The driver was fast getting to it and dropping it off. It was late in the evening when it was dropped off at Paynes, so they weren't able to look at it, but I received a call first thing the next morning and Jason told me what the diagnosis was. He explained in a way that anyone would understand. My car was done the same day and has been driving great since! I will definitely be using Paynes again and I will refer them to my friends and family.

A very professional local garage. They aim for honesty and lasting relationships...they do a good job at explaining what needs to be done and why, which helps lessen the blow of unexpected repairs, and provide a shuttle service for your convenience. If you live near Payne's it is a good safe bet for your car needs. They also do inspections, and I recommend them for that over less reputable inspection stations in the area.

After nearly fifteen years with a well known franchise and many hiccups and headaches along the way I decided to look for someone else. It wasn't a slam dunk decision as their are quite a few repair shops with good to great rated stores, per Yelp in my area but Paynes was the closest. Went in for the TPMS which I'll get to momentarily and Paynes discovered something a chain didn't in my previous visits, brake shoes worn down to near 10% and needed changing. I opted to have the work completed and it was done right the first time which was refreshing. I once upon a time left that "big chain of a franchise" only to find out I had NO BRAKES. Yea, quite the white knuckler. Now back to the Tire Pressure Monitor Sensors. Paynes diagnosed that 2 out of 4 were inoperable and that was causing the light to stay on. After an estimate that was '$10 higher per' than said franchise I mentioned previously I opted to have the work done. Jason, I believe the assistant manager to his father Dennis informed me they would have to be ordered. Not a problem. The next day they arrived and installed. Picked up my vehicle and was quite satisfied. Unfortunately the TPMS light came on 30 min. into my trip but hey, I've been without working ones for nearly a year so with them under warranty (for 2 years/24k) this WASN'T A BIG DEAL to me especially with it being a Friday. I showed up the next Monday, informed Jason of the situation and all they needed was to be reprogrammed. Jason and Dennis kept me informed throughout the process and as a new customer I plan on returning again as my Suzuki warrants. A+
