that will do the best job for you.
- You
have the right to choose a shop without jeopardizing your insurance
coverage or reimbursement.
- Your
car is the second largest investment you're likely to make. Preserve
its value and your safety by having it professionally repaired.
- Never
drive a car that could be unsafe because of damages sustained
in an accident.
- Some
insurance companies may want you to visit their drive-in claims
center before having your car repaired. You may however, insist
that the insurance adjuster inspect the vehicle at the collision
shop of your choice.
- You
are not required by law to obtain more than one estimate or appraisal.
- You
have the right to go to the repair shop of your choice. In most
cases an insurance company cannot require you to go to a particular
shop.

lower estimate may not include all of the necessary repairs. If
you're not sure why one estimate differs from another, ask the
shop manager.
- Ask
if the shop will be using genuine manufacturer (OEM) replacement
parts.
- Let
the collision repair shop you choose help you negotiate your claim
with the insurance company, this often leads to a faster repair
time.
- Choose
a shop that has uni-body frame repair equipment.
- Ask
if the shop offers a written warranty.
